Our capabilities include raise drilling, offering a full suite of services such as ultra-deep and large diameter raise bore shafts for ventilation and hoisting. Our team is highly experienced in drilling these complex shafts using advanced rotary vertical directional drilling equipment. Additionally, we routinely construct smaller diameter raise bore holes for ore, waste, and ventilation transfers between levels. We also provide box hole and slot raise drilling solutions tailored to our clients’ specific requirements.
We drill both surface and underground pilot holes, fully equipped with the necessary casing specifications to facilitate the transfer of compressed air, emulsion, fuel, aggregate, slick lines, cables, and other utilities. Our expertise also includes the construction of surface civil infrastructure for ventilation fan installations, as well as shaft ground consolidation techniques such as piling, spiling, and curtain grouting.

Notably, our team was the first to introduce Remote Shaft Lining to the African market, covering both dry- and wetcrete applications for raise bore holes as secondary support.
We also specialise in high-pressure underground water management and control. Our services in this area include advanced grouting, cementation, borehole sealing techniques, cover drilling, water door installation, and the construction of underground dams and high-pressure bulkheads. These systems are essential for managing water inflows, stabilising ground conditions, and ensuring the safety and continuity of mining operations.
We design, construct, and operate grout and injection plants and install grout packs as part of our integrated water and ground control consolidation strategies.

We offer full-service solutions in shaft and ore pass rehabilitation, as well as the construction of tipping points, bulkheads, conveyor belt systems, silos, settlers, and various other underground infrastructure.
